EJ Wells Dimera arrived in Salem on May 30th, 2006 clad only in a towel.  He was the mysterious neighbor that moved into Sami Brady's building, that later befriended her.  Even though he arrived as a famous race car driver EJ's background was still shrouded in mystery.  However, it was later that year it was revealed that he was the son of Stefano Dimera.  After the Salem residents discovered this, they tried to catch EJ in illegal acts like his father was known to commit.  After being set up by Sami and shooting John Black, EJ fled Salem only to have an encounter with Sami that turned their once frienship into something awful.  After hiding out, EJ finally returned but was on a mission to follow all of Stefano's orders and as a result he managed to offend several other citizens of Salem because of these orders.  Summer of 2007, Stefano returned and was interested in EJ's baby that was being carried by Sami.  It was then that EJ started to break the ties with his father.  Also that summer, it was revealed that EJ had to marry Sami in order to end the vendetta Santo Dimera brought on the Brady family.  At the Brady-Dimera wedding, EJ was shot by Lucas, Sami's ex-husband.  While recovering, EJ continued to turn his life around for Sami and his son Johnny.  As a married couple, Sami and EJ grew closer together while Lucas was in jail.  However upon Lucas' return to Salem, things between EJ and Sami went sour again because Sami decided she needed to fight for Lucas.  EJ then turned away from Sami towards Nicole to try and replace Sami in his life. EJ also began to work for his father again and got mixed up with the shady dealings of the Dimera Empire.  He was also a key player in the Dimera-Kiriakis Feud where he made some criminal moves. While "moving on," EJ learned that Nicole was pregnant with his baby.  However, Sami also learned that she was carrying EJ's baby.  Nicole announced her news while Sami kept her pregnancy a secret.  As EJ and Nicole bonded over their baby, Sami was placed in the witness protection program.  During Sami's time away, Nicole suffered a miscarriage. To avoid telling EJ the truth about their loss, she faked  the remainder of her pregnancy and arranged to buy another baby.  Amazingly both of EJ's babies were born on the same day at the same clinic.  Nicole seized the opportunity to take EJ and Sami's baby, and give Sami the baby she purchased.  Life continued for all involved until Sami's baby Grace became ill and died.  To deal with her grief, Sami told EJ he was Grace's father.  Sami's lie put a huge rift between the couple.  Nicole has found an ally in Stefano.  He knows about her baby switch, lies and deceptions, and refuses to tell EJ the truth as well.  EJ has decided to fight for Johnny with the support of his family.  What will happen next?  Will EJ discover the truth about the babies?  Will Sami learn that her real daughter is alive and well and living in the Dimera mansion?  WIll Nicole reveal the truth to get out from Stefano's thumb?  Will EJ walk away from both woman, or will he choose one to stay with?
